Approva Signs Global Reseller Agreement with Sun Microsystems
Companies Team to Deliver Identity Management, Compliance Solution

Approva® Corporation, the leader in continuous controls monitoring and audit software, announced today that it has entered into a global agreement that enables Sun Microsystems, Inc. to resell Approva’s entire suite of software to its customers worldwide.
In addition, Sun and Approva announced the immediate availability of a new joint solution that integrates Sun Java(TM) System Identity Manager and Approva BizRights. This new offering allows companies to implement fully automated compliant provisioning systems that connect Approva’s continuous controls monitoring software with Sun’s enterprise-wide identity management solution. The joint solution has already been deployed in a production environment with one of the world’s largest food and beverage manufacturers.
Under the terms of the non-exclusive reseller agreement, Sun and its affiliated companies will gain access to Approva’s products, including this new joint solution, for the purpose of reselling them to end users.

Using the joint solution, business managers are able to respond to access change requests faster and conduct a comprehensive analysis of the compliance impact of each request.
The solution analyzes requests to add, modify or revoke rights within a company’s enterprise applications. The system was developed under a non-exclusive global development and marketing agreement formed between Approva and Sun Microsystems last year.
