Approva Partners with Lumigent to Extend Controls Intelligence Capabilities to Database Monitoring

Approva® Corporation (http://www.approva.net), the leading provider of controls intelligence software, announced today that it has entered a partnership with Lumigent Technologies Inc., a recognized industry leader in application data auditing for compliance and security. Under the terms of the non-exclusive technology partnership, Approva will develop and market a unified offering that combines Lumigent’s flagship solution, Audit DB™, with Approva’s BizRights™ Platform and Controls Intelligence Suite. The new solution establishes Approva as the only company that is able to offer a single solution to monitor controls that span from the database layer up through all layers of the major ERP applications as well as legacy systems. The joint offering is planned for availability to the general public early in the third quarter of 2008.

Lumigent Audit DB monitors for abuse of information security policies and inappropriate access and use of sensitive access at the database level including Oracle, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase ASE. The joint offering adds a second layer of information protection by monitoring access to both the company’s databases and access to key financial systems within the organization. The other big advantage is that segregation of duties (SoD) monitoring can now be achieved at the database level with the Approva-Lumigent joint offering.
