Approva Appoints Usha Srikanth Vice President of Product Engineering
Former HP professional with 20 years of product development expertise to lead global R&D efforts

Approva® Corporation (http://www.approva.net), the leader in continuous controls monitoring and audit automation software, today announced that Usha Srikanth has joined Approva as vice president of product engineering. Usha will be based at the company’s global product development center in Pune, India.
Usha brings 20 years of product development experience in the United States and India to her role at Approva, including 15 years with Hewlett-Packard USA. At HP, Usha was part of the company’s Leadership Program and was responsible for multiple products including aspects of the core HP-UX OS. Usha has been widely published and holds a U.S. patent for a knowledge acquisition system that deciphers photolithography defects and its effect on yields in the semi-conductor fabrication manufacturing process around integrated circuits.

Prior to Approva, Usha worked for three years managing India-based R&D efforts at EDS and Agilent Technologies. At EDS Usha established the ERP and database center of expertise in Pune & Chennai, India. Before that, she was part of senior management team that set up the R&D centre for software product development at Agilent Technologies in Gurgaon, India. In addition to her India-based experience, Usha spent 15 years based in the United States at Hewlett Packard in several leadership roles including global research and development, product engineering and program management for HP-UX and Verifone E Payment products among other HP E-Solutions. In her current role at Approva, she will lead a software development team that is unique in the industry in that Approva is one of the few global technology companies that carries out its entire product development cycle in India.

Usha has a master’s degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
