Biography
Vice President, Marketing
Michael brings to Approva 14 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, product management and business strategy.
Prior to Approva, Michael was Vice President of Marketing at Aspen Technology (NASD: AZPN), a global provider of process modeling, manufacturing optimization and supply chain management software and services. At AspenTech Michael was responsible for all marketing activities including product marketing, marketing communications, field marketing, partner marketing and customer programs. During his tenure Michael re-branded and re-positioned the company’s portfolio of 200+ products, refined the go-to-market methodology via solution-focused marketing campaigns, implemented a closed-loop lead generation process and improved sales readiness via the creation of value-based selling tools. While at AspenTech, Michael also served in roles as Director, Product Marketing and Director, Strategic Planning.
Prior to AspenTech, Michael was a consultant at Gemini Consulting (now Cap Gemini) focused on developing and refining corporate strategies for companies in the software, technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to Gemini Consulting Michael worked in Moscow, Russia as a consultant and project manager for Ian Freed Consulting where he helped design and implement a Russia-wide computer network to support the Russian privatization program.
Michael holds a B.A. degree in economics and classics from Brown University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
