Suzanne King

Suzanne joined NEA in 1995 as a Kauffman Fellow and became a Partner in 1999.  Suzanne focuses on information technology investments and manages the firm’s Marketing and Investor Relations function. Present board memberships include Approva, Context Media, Cyveillance, and Motricity.  Previous board memberships include among others, Quantum Bridge Communications (acquired by Motorola) and Guardent (acquired by Verisign).  Suzanne also serves on the board of Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology as an appointment by Governor Mark Warner.  Prior to joining NEA, Suzanne led the financial team at XcelleNet, Inc., a developer of system management software for remote access. She was part of XcelleNet’s start-up management team that grew the company to a successful IPO in 1994. She also worked as a Senior Auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co. where she specialized in emerging information technology companies.  Suzanne received a Masters of Management (MBA) from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Suzanne was a charter member of the Kauffman Fellows program and a Certified Public Accountant.
