The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for performing strategic analysis and conducting market research in support of Approva’s marketing programs. Representative projects will include researching and analyzing new market opportunities, analyzing the effectiveness of lead generation programs, identifying and proposing new marketing campaigns, conducting detailed competitive analysis and reviewing and proposing changes to Approva’s product pricing strategy. The right candidate will work efficiently and effectively with the product marketing and corporate marketing teams as well as Approva’s executive team to translate market analysis into sales ready tools and actionable conclusions that drive sales strategy and the company’s overall strategic direction.

  • Ability to make fact-based conclusions and succinctly summarize key findings into tangible, actionable conclusions.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and analyze problems with thoroughness and attention to detail.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and analyze the attractiveness of new market opportunities (e.g. new products, new industries, new regions).
  • Segment target market and work with product marketing and corporate marketing team to develop and execute lead generation and awareness campaigns.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of lead generation and marketing programs.
  • Identify and propose new marketing campaigns
  • Conduct detailed primary and secondary competitive research; summarize findings into easy-to-digest summaries for sales.
  • Analyze profitability of Approva’s product lines and recommend changes that improve market position and value capture.
  • Recommend changes to product and marketing strategy based on ongoing analysis.
  • Analyze needs of customer base and identify opportunities based on demand and product direction.
  • Develop and drive comprehensive product launches.
  • Create sales tools including presentations, data sheets, ROI collateral, etc.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or consulting role
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation.
  • Experience working at a technology firm desired.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM solutions strongly desired.
  • Bachelor degree required.
